AirPrint - Not as great as expected

How to tell whether or not a file has been saved ?
The little black dot in the cross icon of a file means it has not been saved. For example, the file in the picture below hasn't been saved.

Why the new rotation lock ?
With the iOS 4.2 update for iPad came a change in the rotation lock. The new way to lock the current orientation of the iPad is by double tapping the home button, swiping the bottom bar to the right and tapping the orientation lock button. The old rotation-lock toggle switch is now a mute switch like in the iPhone.

Jailbreaking - The How, The Why and The Where
So, What is Jailbreaking ?
Basically, jailbreaking is a way to modify your iPhone/ iPod touch/ iPad in ways which apple won't include in their iOS software. for eg, adding cool battery logos, slider themes and even downloading paid apps for free. (that last part is illegal and i wont be telling you how to do that )

Pages on iPad is an extremely powerful and beautifully designed word processing application. In fact, I think it is the most powerful word processor ever developed on a mobile application. It has been developed by Apple, which probably tells you more about it than I can. Aside from the usual humdrum of text formatting tools such as bold, italic, underline, font, color, size, alignment, etc, it also has functions such as text wrapping around images, image mask and beautiful graphs and charts which you'd be hard pressed to find on any other application, both mobile or desktop based. Adding images is as easy as tapping and there are various new ways to present your image. For example, there are new borders, shadows, alignment tools, and more. Adding charts, graphs and shapes has never been easier or for that matter, more fun. When it comes to design, no one can replace Apple. And the same stands true for the Pages application on iPad. With the simple and intuitive touchscreen, it's much easier to design beatiful documents on Pages than on Word. To me, this app is just as powerful and easy to use if not more than the Mac version of it. In fact I find it so good that I usually make my word documents on the iPad itself. After using an Application as beatiful and powerful on this on a Device that is equally so, the applications on a desktop seem bland.

Jailbreaking - quite bad, I fear.
After I jailbroke my iPad, quite recently actually, I realised that my iPad had become extremely slow. Now I had noticed this a while ago, but I decided to ignore it until I had an important keynote to make and I realised that it had probably become slow due to jailbreaking it. I did some experimenting and realized that jailbreaking it did NOT slow it down. The problem arose because of the SOFTWARE that I used after jailbreaking such as veency, backgrounder, winterboard, etc. On uninstalling these, my iPad blazed back to life!
